CLINICALLY PROVEN

I will never forget when a Dr that I used to work with dismissed Shakeology’s health benefits, because there wasn’t a clinical trial. Then, when they did release the clinical trial, he still wouldn’t try it. Besides what’s listed in the picture, and talked about in this video, https://youtu.be/flyp-72pBQk, there are also so many anecdotal stories of Shakeology helping a variety of conditions: arthritis, fibromyalgia, IBS, PCOS, lupus, and many more! When you fuel your body with healthy foods, your body tends to heal itself. I’ve been drinking Shakeology for 4+ years, and have had near perfect health in that time. My best friend credits Shakeology with helping her get pregnant TWICE, because it helped her lose weight, and it helped her overcome PCOS. Try it for 30 days, to see what it will do for you! Ask me how you can get it at a discount every month.

DIGIT

Saving money  has never been a strong suit for me. Between using YNAB and digit, I’m working on changing that. digit allows you to save money without thinking about it. It’s easy to set up, and the best part about it is that it’s FREE! It takes small amounts from your checking account – we’re talking anywhere from $0.14 – $0.90 – and deposits it into savings. Then, The Compound Effect goes to work! Those small amounts add up! The funds are available for you to withdraw, at no penalty or charge to you.

CANVA

Do you use Canva? I heard about it a year, or so, ago; however, I didn’t start using it until recently. I love the ease in which I can create graphics! This really opens up what I’m able to do on social media. I’ll post a few examples of what I’ve created, below.

REWIND

I’ve seriously gotten off track with journaling, so wanted to rewind a little bit and document what I’ve been thankful for this past week.

  • Last weekend, I got trained to do food demo for a company called Kiolbassa. It’s a part-time job, but a job nonetheless. The trainer gave me a lot of praise, commending me for my excellent work. That felt good! My first day, I sold 90 packages. The overall goal is 60, and the team average for that day was 51.
  • On Monday, I had an impromptu movie date with my Aunt. I’d initially called her about signing up as a Coach under my mom (more on that in a minute), but she ended up inviting me to see the movie, Joy, with her. Luckily, I had two free movie tickets, so I ended up being able to treat her. Afterwards, we had pizza and froyo. All in all, a great afternoon spent with her! As mentioned previously, I did talk to her about starting to drink Shakeology, and getting it for a discount by signing as a Coach under my Mom. This benefits her health, while also benefitting my business. I worked hard to return to Diamond rank. I’m determined not to lose it again! Additionally, my Coach is planning a trip for her Diamond coaches. I’m going on that trip! I deserve it. Speaking of the trip, if there’s anyone out there that knows how to get in touch with Sylvester Stallone, please tell me how. It would mean so much to my Coach if he was part of it!
  • I wrote about Sue on Tuesday. I’m happy to report that she’s growing stronger daily. She’s quite the fighter! To quote her son, “Her strength, courage and determination is beyond admirable.”
  • I have an obsession with the musical, Hamilton! If you haven’t listened to the soundtrack, you need to! (The title of this blog is a #HamiltonReference.) On Wednesday, I discovered a web site (the link, above) that gives the background to the story and lyrics. While not the most productive way to spend a day, that’s how I spent the day on Wednesday…just absorbing everything I could about this musical.
  • Yesterday, I donated blood. I’m anemic, so going to donate isn’t always a sure thing. In fact, the 2 times I tried previously, my iron was too low. I love when I’m able to donate! I’m thankful for the opportunity I have to save lives. ❤
  • That brings me to today. I’m grateful that I’m “alive & well.” I’m also glad that I blogged today, before the day got away from me. I’ve mentioned previously that it’s about progress, not perfection; however, I do want to make this a daily habit!

SUE SQUARED

In high school, I was very involved in my temple’s youth group, MIFTY. We were fortunate to have 3 wonderful women as leaders, role models, and mentors. By coincidence, they were all named Sue. Their nicknames became, “Sue Prime,” “Sue Squared,” and “Sue Cubed.”

After graduation, I lost touch with them. Thankfully, Facebook allowed me to reconnect with the first two. This past summer, I got to see Sue Squared for the first time in almost 20 years. I went to her birthday party, and loved celebrating with her & her family. She’s battling cancer, now. Today, I learned that it’s metastasized and gone into her brain. She’s quite the fighter, so she’s doing radiation, then will take a chemo medication. I went to see her today before her radiation treatment. Despite being the in hospital, she was in good spirits. When the paramedics came to take her to the cancer center for her treatment, she told them how she knew me, and that I had been one of her favorite youth group kids. I didn’t know that until today.

In Judaism, we have a prayer for healing, Mi Shebeirach. While she may not recover completely, I pray that she recovers just enough to give her a quality of life that allows her to enjoy many more years with her loved ones.

JUMP

When’s the last time you jumped? I took a leap of faith 4+ years ago when I signed up as a Coach, and another on 10/6/14, when I quit a job that I was absolutely miserable at. It may not have been the smartest financial decision, but I don’t regret making it. I’m definitely scraped up & bruised, but I know that I will get through it. My parachute is opening.

Like Steve Harvey says, “You Gotta Jump to be Successful!”

THANKFULNESS

“If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily.” Gerald Good

Hence, the point of a gratitude journal! What you focus on expands. When you find gratitude in the “little things,” life/G-d/the Universe, finds more for you to be thankful for! Of course, it doesn’t all need to be written down. This is especially powerful during times you may not feel so grateful. Having a bad day at work? Take a moment to give thanks that you have a job. Your budget is tight? Be thankful for the money that you do receive, and that it (hopefully) covers your basic necessities. Do you have clothes to wear, shelter over your head, and food on the table (and in your pantry & refrigerator)? Be grateful. If you stop to think about, you could come up with a laundry list of items that you’re thankful for. Try a gratitude journal. At the end of the day, write 3 things you were grateful for that day. If you’re in a relationship, include something your partner did, and do that everyday. Watch your relationship flourish. Will you do this simple step towards changing your life?

SUCCESS

Who are you meant to be? Do you have the determination, courage, and will to become that person?

I’d like to believe that I have the determination, courage, and will. Maybe I do have all of the above. Then, why do I struggle to become the person that I know I can be? There is greatness within me! Why haven’t I unleashed it?
